In this section of Family you will find many devotional aids for both personal and family use. My hope is that you will incorporate as many as possible into your daily routine and that you will find them an important source of strength and comfort throughout the week. – Fr. Charlie
The first link will direct you to the New Anglican Breviary put out by the Council of the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is a simplified and user-friendly version of Morning, Evening, and Nightly prayer that is well suited for both family and individual devotions. The readings and prayers for the day are included in the text and are updated daily to facilitate use. This is a great place for beginners or those with hectic schedules to start. I recommend that you try Compline (Nightly Prayers) first.
2. The Daily and Occasional Offices
In the second link you will find the traditional Morning and Evening prayer services taken from the 1928 Book of Common Prayer in both their long and short versions (the short versions are specifically intended for personal and family devotions). In addition to these services, you will find the Seven Hourly Offices (Laud, None, Vespers, and etc.) that the Church has observed from Old Testament times until the present (c.f. Psalm 119:164; Acts 3:11). As above, the daily readings and prayers are included in the text. They are updated daily for the Morning and Evening services and weekly for the Hourly offices. Again, I recommend that you start with Compline (Nightly Prayers).
Found at the back of the classic Book of Common Prayer and put online here for your convenience is “Family Prayer,” including daily morning prayers and nightly evening prayers for families.
For small saints is the famous Large Catechism, annotated and with browsing tools, which instructs the new Christian in the basics of the faith, beginning with the Holy Bible and continuting with the law, obedience, the gospel, faith, prayer, thanksgiving, and the sacraments.
